About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. As a Staff RN in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of client-centered care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities
Shift Rotation and Hours of Work

As a Staff RN in the PACU, you will work a rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, and weekends. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including 07:00 to 15:00, 10:00 to 18:00, and 23:00 to 07:00.

Qualifications
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Advanced education in an approved enhanced specialty post-anesthetic education course
  • Two years of recent, related clinical experience in the PACU or an equivalent combination of education and experience
