We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. As a Staff Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU), you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and provide nursing care to patients in the PACU, utilizing your expertise in clinical and diagnostic reasoning.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, utilizing verbal and written communication skills to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in nursing care.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting staff morale and collaboration.
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Advanced education in an approved enhanced specialty post-anesthetic education course, and two (2) years recent, related clinical experience aligned with unit-specific competencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including relevant computer applications.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
