We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC). As a Staff Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical, you will provide direct nursing care for admitted patients and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with the Vision, Values, Ethics, and Standards of the organization and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care strategies
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to promote safe, competent patient care
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the healthcare team
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in emergency situations
