The University of Toronto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graduate Administrator to support the administration of the tri-campus graduate program. As the first point of contact for program-related inquiries, the successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Administer the graduate program, including logistical details for admissions processes, reviewing and assessing applications, and determining which applications to refer to committee for selection.
- Provide academic counseling to current and potential graduate students on graduate program-associated matters.
- Deliver student recruitment presentations and advise students on academic and/or financial matters.
- Verify student access to courses in student information systems and review and approve changes to program requirements for exceptional cases.
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four (4) years' relevant experience advising students on academic matters for degree program support.
- Experience in administering admissions processes, fee deferrals, course enrollment, and timetabling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proven understanding and application of equity, diversity, inclusion, and access principles.
- Extensive knowledge of the University of Toronto's graduate academic guidelines and procedures.
- Experience coordinating scholarships and fellowships to the School of Graduate Studies.
- Experience organizing events and providing administrative support to committees.
