Job Title: Graduate Program Assistant

About the Role:

York University's School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD) is a leading institution for education and research across the arts. As a Graduate Program Assistant, you will provide administrative support to faculty and students, ensuring a seamless experience for all. Your expertise will be invaluable in maintaining continuity, providing historical perspective, and offering transitional support to the Graduate Program Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide information on University, Faculty, unit, and program policies, procedures, and regulations in a professional and client-focused manner.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, student-focused team environment of high performance, respect, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Embrace diversity and foster inclusion in all aspects of your work.

Requirements:

  • High school graduation plus administrative training.
  • Some post-secondary courses in Arts, Media, Performance, or Design would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated skills in effective oral communication, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate word-processing skills, working knowledge of an online records system, and intermediate computerized spreadsheet skills.
