Your Opportunity:

As a Senior Procurement Analyst, you will demonstrate exceptional customer service abilities and effective communication skills with both internal teams and external suppliers. Your role will involve crafting new agreements and modifying existing contracts to enhance value and reduce risks for Alberta Health Services (AHS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the competitive bidding process, including the evaluation of RFx submissions.
  • Prepare and manage contract documentation, ensuring compliance with AHS procurement policies and guidelines.
  • Assist in the implementation of contracts and oversee the management of contracts within designated categories.

Required Qualifications:

A completed post-secondary degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is essential.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Relevant work experience in a business environment or allied health services is necessary. Training in core business disciplines, along with courses in supply chain management, economics, process improvement (Lean), contract law, financial analysis, project management, and competitive sourcing strategies is highly beneficial. Experience in project coordination, commercial negotiations, contract management, and both quantitative and qualitative analysis is expected. A proven ability to think strategically and apply sound business judgment is crucial, along with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and the capacity to work independently with minimal oversight are essential. The ability to thrive in a remote work setting while being available to travel as required for operational needs is also important.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in healthcare and supply chain management is advantageous. Familiarity with the operational aspects and knowledge of pharmacy service delivery in both hospital and non-hospital environments is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
