Intermediate Teacher - LTO Assignment
About the Role:We are seeking a qualified Intermediate Teacher to join our team at St. Jude Catholic Elementary School in London. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position.
Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Intermediate students and contributing to the school community. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Education degree, be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and possess a strong understanding of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations and the Ontario curriculum.
Requirements:- Bachelor of Education degree
- Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
- Qualifications appropriate to the position
- Previous elementary teaching experience preferred
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
- Practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
- Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques
- Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices
- Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all students
