About the Role

The London District Catholic School Board is seeking a qualified Religion Teacher to join our team in a Intermediate/Senior position. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and creating a supportive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations and the Ontario curriculum
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that support student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education Degree and good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Qualifications appropriate to the position, including previous secondary teaching experience
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
  • Practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation, and assessment techniques
  • Current understanding of research, integrating technology, and best instructional practices
  • Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment
