The Role

We're seeking an Account Executive to join our team in Nova Scotia on a permanent full-time basis. As an Account Executive, you'll:

  • Sell commercial insurance policies
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list
  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, including site visits
  • Stay up-to-date on market knowledge, products, and pricing issues and opportunities
  • Prepare proposals and arrange account placement with insurance carriers
  • Gather and document relevant information for customers
  • Maintain a high-quality book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices
  • Arrange payment terms and collect payments
  • Support customers with claims
  • Travel in and out of town

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure and deadlines
  • Able to work individually and in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • 5-7+ years of industry, sales, and customer service experience
  • Commitment to continual learning: CIP, CAIB designation or working towards completion
