Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Medical Site Lead to join our team at the Aberdeen Regional Hospital in the Northern Zone.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure medical staff compliance with NSHA bylaws and regulations.
- Represent medical staff interests and perspectives to the Zone Executive Director.
- Lead Emergency Preparedness activities as Physician Lead.
- Attend department meetings and committee meetings as assigned.
- Monitor site standards, quality, and resource utilization.
- Participate in clinical services planning for the Zone.
- Contribute to recruitment and retention activities for the department.
- Develop leadership capabilities through lifelong learning and professional development.
- Address operational challenges with operational co-lead and stakeholders.
- Represent the site at the Access and Flow Network Council.
- Implement best practices related to access and flow.
- Develop and implement a plan to improve access and flow for the regional site and surrounding area community hospitals.
- Oversee the work of the Medical Education and Physician Advisor at the site.
- MD licensed in Nova Scotia and privileged with Nova Scotia Health.
- Evidence of past and ongoing leadership training.
