We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As a key member of our social services team, you will play a vital role in coordinating volunteer activities and supporting our community programs.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
- Work Site Environment: You will be working in a corrections setting, which requires a high level of security and safety.
- Work Setting: You will be based in a correctional facility, working with culturally diverse groups, including females, males, and young offenders.
- Target Audience: Your work will focus on supporting the needs of these diverse groups.
- Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this position.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: You will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and will be required to work efficiently.
- Personal Suitability: We are looking for individuals with excellent interpersonal skills, oral communication, judgement, client focus, written communication, flexibility, and initiative.
- Financial Benefits: As per the collective agreement, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.
- Work Term: This is a permanent position, working 36.25 hours per week.
