Patterson Companies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team

About the Role:

We are looking for a sales professional to develop and maintain strong relationships with pet specialty stores within our defined territory. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing an established dealer and pet retail sales territory
  • Developing and executing a sales coverage plan
  • Making regular sales calls to pet specialty stores
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with peers and business partners within our industry
  • Maintaining timely and accurate records of all activities
  • Working effectively and efficiently within a team environment to achieve regional sales targets
  • Keeping management informed of industry news and development

Requirements:

  • Highly customer service oriented and focused on detail
  • Industry-related sales experience preferred
  • Strong and effective communication and planning skills
  • Travel with overnight stays
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, result-oriented, and disciplined team player
  • Animal health experience is an asset
  • Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading & writing)
  • A valid driver's license is required and must maintain a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Business
  • Proven track record in sales
  • P.C. skills including knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software
  • Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Uses technology with efficiency, including Microsoft 365, Accounting Software, and MS Outlook and Excel applications
  • Experience with Excel knowledge
