Portable Plant Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Portable Plant Operator to join our team at Lafarge Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our portable crushing plant, ensuring efficient production and safe working conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment, including excavators and wheel loaders, to process materials and feed the crusher.
- Perform pre-operational checks and maintain assigned mobile equipment as trained and directed.
- Assist in repairing broken or malfunctioning equipment and perform daily inspections as part of our preventative maintenance program.
- Work in a team environment with other co-workers, supervisors, and managers to ensure the efficient operation of the plant and site.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Industrial/Mining plant experience and heavy equipment operation experience are assets.
- Basic welding and fitting skills are preferred but not required.
- Specific mobile equipment training and mechanical aptitude are essential.
- Working outdoors and indoors in varied conditions, including hot, noisy, and dusty environments.
- Rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends may be required.
- Regular bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting less than 50 lbs.
- Working at heights and confined spaces.
