Production Volume: 20 m3 Team Size: 6 personnel Clientele: Diverse range of customers Material Handling: Management of truck traffic volume Logistics: Coordination of up to 20 daily orders for quality and timely delivery Technology: Utilization of Command Concrete Dispatch software and Concrete Direct GPS systemKey Responsibilities
Health and Safety:
Commit to promoting, enhancing, and adhering to safety protocols across all operational areas. Ensure compliance with safety guidelines by all team members on a daily basis. Address safety concerns promptly and provide coaching on safe work practices. Maintain accurate records of daily safety discussions. Document near misses and significant safety coaching incidents for management review. Ensure all safety documentation is current and communicated effectively to all employees.Batching Operations:
In a dynamic, customer-focused environment, responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing, ordering raw materials, and ensuring precise batching to meet customer specifications. Assist the plant manager with daily operational tasks, managing resources and ensuring quality concrete production. Supervise drivers and coordinate the loading process, ensuring safe batching and plant maintenance. Prioritize safety by supervising adherence to safe working procedures.Human Resources and Mentoring:
Report disciplinary matters to management. Foster a positive work environment for employee relations. Provide daily task lists to employees and communicate any changes in work hours.Environmental Compliance:
Demonstrate commitment to exceeding environmental standards. Understand and implement procedures for environmental issues as outlined in the EMS manual.Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of daily sales, rejections, and resales. Submit monthly Quality Control reports to the Quality Control Manager. Ensure collection of payments prior to concrete sales. Keep detailed logs of sales and fuel usage, ensuring all invoices are approved. Promote the use of driver tablets for electronic documentation and inspections. Ensure mechanics receive all necessary inspection reports from drivers.Sales Coordination:
Communicate potential opportunities and challenges to management and sales representatives. Address customer concerns with appropriate personnel. Follow up on COD calls and aim to upsell products.Transportation and Logistics:
Supervise Ready Mix drivers and oversee batching operations. Direct driver activities within the plant and during job site operations. Collaborate with mechanics for efficient maintenance scheduling. Optimize job scheduling for maximum fleet utilization.Administrative Duties:
Manage inventory through Command and SAP systems, conducting monthly physical counts. Order materials and assist with various administrative tasks. Keep management informed of important updates during their absence. Ensure payroll accuracy and timely submission for approval.Performance Analysis:
Utilize KPIs and operational reports to monitor performance and implement improvement plans. Aim to minimize voided concrete and optimize delivery efficiency.Plant Maintenance and Image:
Maintain plant standards for cleanliness and organization. Ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures. Monitor and enforce cleanliness in customer-accessible areas.Accountability:
Achieve safety performance objectives and ensure compliance with company policies. Develop operational staff and optimize productivity.Qualifications:
3-5 years of supervisory experience required. Experience in the ready mix industry preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organizational and planning abilities. Able to manage multiple tasks and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, SAP, Command-Alkon).
