About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Coordinator to join our team at the University of Saskatchewan. As a key member of our Development team, you will play a critical role in supporting our fundraising efforts and building strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Development Officer to support donor recognition and stewardship, ensuring that donors feel valued and appreciated.
  • Collaborate with the University Advancement team to create and maintain donor reports, tracking progress and communicating the impact of donations.
  • Support the Development Officer in drafting donor proposals, gift agreements, and terms of reference, including sponsorship proposals and recognition.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of donor information in the university's database, including alumni and donor records.
  • Support the college's team in campaign initiatives, working closely with the Student Services Manager and Development Officer to stay connected with donors.
  • Work with the Development Officer and Alumni Relations Officer to build and maintain relationships with donors and potential new donors.
  • Liaise with University Advancement to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare reports as required, providing insights and recommendations to inform fundraising strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of directly related experience, preferably in a post-secondary institution or a similar environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in donor relations and stewardship, with a strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft applications.
