About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture to join our Commercial Delivery team at Banque Nationale du Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of large-scale projects that transform our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Business Solution Architecture Team: Manage and develop the team, providing mobilizing leadership and expertise to drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Delivery Teams and Business Lines: Work closely with stakeholders to define and execute projects, ensuring solutions align with our architectural guidelines and governance.
  • Manage Architect Demand and Team Capacity: Oversee architect demand, team capacity, and assignments to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Support Domain Architects and Practice Lead: Collaborate with SnL Architect and Domain Architects to evolve domains, manage target capacities, and maintain sound debt management.
  • Contribute to Practice Evolution: Work with the Practice Lead for Solution Architecture to evolve and implement our practice.
  • Promote a Culture of Learning and Team Commitment: Foster a culture of continuous learning, team commitment, and recognition within the team.
About the Team

Our IT team consists of over 2,300 experts who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities and stay at the forefront of technology. As a member of our Commercial Architecture sector, you will be part of a large team of 15 colleagues and report to Eric Jolly.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or information technology, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven Experience as a Solution Architect: Demonstrated experience in complex solution architecture, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Management and Leadership Experience: Proven experience in management, development, coaching, and team mobilization.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of modern ecosystem concepts, technologies, and solutions, including Microservices, REST APIs, Data Flow, security, elasticity, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, software packages, cloud, and more.
  • Excellent Communication and Influence Skills: Ability to communicate, popularize, and influence effectively.
