Job Title: Director, Human Resources

Interfor is seeking a seasoned Director of Human Resources to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR leadership and support to our Eastern Operations and HR staff across Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with operational leadership to align HR strategies and deliver operating results.
  • Lead labour relations, including negotiation and administration of collective agreements.
  • Develop and implement HR programs and initiatives to drive business results.
  • Collaborate with corporate HR to ensure consistent approach and delivery of programs.
  • Build and maintain trustworthy relationships with business leaders to drive operational and HR alignment.
  • Assess training needs and develop programs to support HR initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on key HR metrics.
  • Lead employee and labor relations efforts, including negotiations and arbitrations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of human resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with Canadian labour laws and HR systems.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and interact with senior leaders.
