Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Vice-President of International Sales, the Sales Director will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and sustaining the current client relationships within the designated region. This position requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage and enhance the productivity of the sales team.

The Sales Director is tasked with overseeing essential support functions that boost sales force efficiency. Responsibilities encompass strategic planning, performance reporting, quota management, sales process refinement, job design for sales roles, training initiatives, implementation of sales programs, administration of compensation structures, and recruitment of top sales talent.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facilitates the sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes to ensure accuracy and consistency within the sales organization.
  2. Ensures fair distribution of sales quotas across all channels and resources.
  3. Guarantees timely assignment of sales objectives to the organization.
  4. Identifies and prioritizes opportunities for enhancing sales processes in collaboration with sales management.
  5. Oversees the accuracy and timely distribution of sales reports and critical CRM data.
  6. Implements and monitors compliance with CRM technologies for field sales teams.
  7. Coordinates training sessions for sales personnel and management to enhance skills and knowledge.
  8. Contributes to the development of sales incentive compensation programs.
  9. Supports the consistent execution of corporate initiatives across the sales organization.
  10. Fosters strong relationships with key management personnel to promote collaboration.

Performance Metrics

  1. Achievement of sales and profit targets for the supported business unit.
  2. Timely implementation of sales quotas and performance objectives.
  3. Successful execution of initiatives impacting the sales organization.
  4. Efficient allocation of resources related to technology, support, and training.

Organizational Structure

This role reports to the Vice President of International Sales and is directly responsible for Channel Sales in Canada, encompassing various partner channels.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Fluent in English; proficiency in French is advantageous.
  2. Possession of a four-year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC or Building Automation System sales or management within a B2B environment.
  4. At least five years in sales operations, business planning, or sales support management.
  5. Proven experience in managing complex corporate initiatives.
  6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  8. Valid driver's license required.
  9. Proficient in using personal computers.

Travel Expectations

  • This position involves 50-60% travel.
