About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Affinity Seniors Care. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Safely transfer residents between beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment, promoting their mobility and independence.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe environment, performing tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and minor repairs.
  • Communication and Documentation: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certifications: CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
