We are seeking skilled Mobile Security Officers to enhance our tactical team for a provincial critical infrastructure client. Your primary responsibility will be to prevent and address criminal activities across various locations. This will involve responding to alarms, documenting security breaches and property damage, and ensuring unauthorized individuals vacate the premises. You will operate a Paladin vehicle and perform foot patrols both inside and outside facilities, navigating stairs and diverse terrains.This team operates throughout the region, with shifts commencing and concluding at the designated base site. The starting pay rate is $25.00/hour during the training period, with 12-hour shifts on a rotational schedule.
Responsibilities: Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of client facilities, ensuring access control is enforced as necessary. Grant or deny access based on established protocols. Respond efficiently to alarms at client facilities within designated time frames. Address accident calls and emergencies, escalating unresolved issues. Report all incidents with comprehensive details to the Security Command Centre promptly. Collaborate with first responders (Police/Fire/Ambulance) as needed. Prepare detailed incident reports for security events or property damage occurring during your shift. Foster relationships with nearby businesses to enhance overall security. Provide initial technical assessments to assist in troubleshooting security systems. Maintain positive relationships with all Paladin personnel and client staff, while respecting confidentiality and remaining vigilant to potential threats. Manage all incidents with professionalism and composure. Complete additional tasks as assigned by clients and Paladin staff.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the security sector Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean driving record Availability for overnight shifts Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent customer service, professionalism, and communication skills (both verbal and written). Experience in handcuff training/use and self-defense is preferred; advanced security training will be provided to successful candidates. Occupational First Aid Level 2 certification is advantageous; training will be offered to successful candidates. Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Post-secondary education in Criminology & Law Enforcement is beneficial. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.Certification Requirements (All)
