Job Summary

NAPA Auto Parts Fort McMurray is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment process, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new employees, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, collect and screen applicants, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Employee Onboarding: Coordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates, notify applicants of results of selection process, and prepare job offers.
  • HR Administration: Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, and determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Prepare budgets and payrolls, arrange schedules, and oversee payroll administration, including group insurance benefits, life insurance, and Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP).
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multitask, and strong organizational skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and human resources software.
