Position: Community Engagement Coordinator
Salary: $63,036 – $78,849 – $86,734 annually (details on pay range provided below)
Employment Type: Permanent
Work Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am – 3pm)
Work Location: Tsawout-East Saanich, Vancouver Island – Hybrid work arrangements are available in accordance with FNHA's flexible work policy.

Role Overview
As the Community Engagement Coordinator, your responsibilities will include supporting the Vancouver Island Regional Engagement Pathways designed to foster participation, collaboration, and leadership among the Vancouver Island First Nations in health governance and system transformation for improved health and wellness of our communities. Key duties include:

  • Coordinating Coast Salish Health Director Tables
  • Providing logistical support for sub-regional caucuses involving Coast Salish communities.
  • Facilitating the Vancouver Island Regional Caucus
  • Engaging in health-related activities organized by the Regional Health Authority pertinent to the area or sub-region.

Candidate Profile
To excel in this position, you will possess:

  • A university degree specializing in Health Sciences, Education, Social Services, or a related field, or a suitable combination of education, training, and professional experience.
  • Significant experience (typically 3-5 years) in providing coordination support to First Nation communities, or an equivalent blend of education, training, and experience.
  • A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.
