About the Role

The City of Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled Elections Communications and Outreach Manager to join our team. As a key member of the City Clerk's Office, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications and outreach plans to engage citizens and promote the municipal election process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to increase voter participation and awareness of municipal election issues.
  • Collaborate with the City Clerk's Office, Chief Election Officer, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and outreach efforts.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of communications, including media relations, social media, and public outreach.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, media outlets, and other external partners.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management on communications and outreach matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic communications, integrated marketing, or internal communications.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
