Job Summary
Expeditors is seeking a highly skilled and organized Account Receivable Specialist to join our team. As an Account Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, including receiving, safeguarding, and recording of receipts, as well as assisting in the credit management process.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and allocate receipts in the accounting system, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Generate and deliver timely statements and perform timely reconciliations.
- Provide up-to-date detailed collection notes listing actions on every past-due invoice in the ARCM system.
- Maintain a filing system in accordance with internal and local document retention policies.
- Proactively identify problem accounts and follow up with customers and internal staff to resolve issues.
- Prepare exception reports for the weekly AR meeting and maintain meeting minutes.
- Assist in internal control evaluations and internal/external audits by preparing required information/documentation.
- Support the accounting department with miscellaneous projects and assignments.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
