Laboratory Assistant

At Dynacare, we're seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant (Float) to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain quality blood samples and other specimens from patients, utilizing phlebotomy skills and techniques.
- Enter requisitions and process samples for transportation accurately and efficiently.
- Contribute to maintaining quality metrics and regulatory compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, demonstrating empathy and kindness in stressful situations.
- Work collaboratively with the laboratory team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Completion of Secondary School and a Laboratory Assistant training program or a Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, at a level that enables clear communication with patients and colleagues.
