Position Overview: Special Assistant, Philanthropy

Organization: CNIB Foundation

Salary: $33.65 per hour

Work Hours: 35 hours per week

Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in public administration or a related field.

Language Proficiency: English

Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role, ideally within a non-profit or charitable organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer donor information effectively within the donor management system.
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and manage the creation and submission of summary briefs and reports.
  • Support the execution of annual fundraising initiatives for the CNIB Lake Joe camp.
  • Assist in moves management activities, including tracking and monitoring.
  • Coordinate team functions such as material procurement, logistics, and meeting arrangements.
  • Maintain high standards of stewardship for active donors, ensuring accurate records of activities.
  • Oversee special projects and events as needed.
  • Ensure all communications align with CNIB's branding and quality standards.
  • Stay informed about trends in philanthropy and conduct relevant research.
  • Engage with individuals and groups to discuss issues and recommend actions.
  • Collaborate with departmental and corporate representatives as well as external organizations.
  • Plan, organize, and evaluate daily operations while providing excellent customer service.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and other documents.
Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in SharePoint, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Word, and Database Management.

Work Experience: Background in Business Administration or Management.

Personal Attributes:

  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible and organized.

Additional Information:

Security: Criminal record check required.

Work Environment: Fast-paced setting.
