Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplifies leadership in health, safety, and environmental stewardship throughout the project. Implements the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to ensure compliance with Ledcor HS&E standards and relevant OH&S regulations for all personnel and subcontractors.
  • Establishes and/or oversees the Project Quality Program to guarantee that project materials are provided and work is executed according to design-build project specifications.
  • Ensures that design-build projects are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes, maintaining superior quality standards.
  • Develops and sustains the construction schedule in collaboration with the project team to achieve milestones and completion dates for design-build projects.
  • Facilitates project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the ongoing progress of projects.
  • Identifies and manages opportunities and risks specific to design-build projects to optimize schedule and financial outcomes.
  • Maintains, tracks, and reports all financial aspects of design-build projects, including forecasts and billing.
  • Oversees the procurement process for design-build projects, including negotiations and awards for subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in construction as a Project Manager or in a similar supervisory capacity.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of construction documents, drawings, specifications, costs, budgets, and current construction methodologies, particularly in the context of design-build/P3 projects.
  • Adept at diagnosing the root causes of issues, identifying both short and long-term solutions, anticipating trends, and considering broader implications, especially in design-build contexts.
  • Capable of foreseeing constructability challenges in moderate to complex design-build scenarios and devising innovative solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
  • Strong negotiation abilities; skilled at influencing and persuading others to achieve consensus.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid provincial driver's license.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required.
