Position Overview:

The Licensed Pharmacy Professional plays a vital role in delivering pharmacy services to both customers and healthcare providers. This position is essential in achieving departmental excellence, focusing on patient-centered care, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Pharmacist will also mentor Pharmacy students and Assistants, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality clinical services. Contributing to a culture of engagement among employees and customers is key to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient-Centered Care:

  • Prioritize clinical services, including disease management, medication reviews, and health assessments.
  • Ensure prescription safety by delegating technical tasks to Pharmacy Assistants when available.
  • Develop and document care plans, including follow-ups.
  • Gather relevant patient and medication information.
  • Identify and address potential drug-related issues.
  • Monitor adherence to prescribed medications.
  • Provide comprehensive patient counseling on new therapies, ensuring understanding of medication purposes.
  • Customize counseling to accommodate individual patient needs, such as literacy and privacy concerns.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Surpass customer expectations through efficient service delivery.
  • Promptly acknowledge and assist customers with professionalism.
  • Exhibit warmth, empathy, and compassion in all customer interactions.
  • Deliver superior service to every customer.

  • Understand and communicate all PROfile offerings, ensuring customers receive programs tailored to their health needs, including:

  • Health Inform
  • Kids Club
  • Flavorx
  • Clinics

Additional Duties:

  • Adhere to all company standards and policies.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in the relevant province.
  • Prior experience in a retail or pharmacy setting is preferred.
