About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Horizon North. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business by providing strategic HR guidance and expertise to our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HR support and guidance to our leadership team, including employee relations, labor relations, collective agreements, policy interpretation, talent management, and organizational design.
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures, communicating updates to management and employees.
- Work with the HR team to support projects and complete objectives.
- Assist internal departments, such as Payroll and other HR Business Partners, as needed.
- Stay informed on legislative updates and HR best practices, ensuring compliance and up-to-date knowledge.
Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and French, both verbal and written required.
- Must be proficient in Quebec French (Québécois French).
- Excellent knowledge of provincial and federal employment and labour legislation with an emphasis on Quebec.
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience working as an HR Generalist/Business Partner.
- CHRP designation considered an asset.
- Experience with ATS (Smart Recruiters) and ADP is strongly preferred.

- Ability to travel to units across the province/country to provide on-site HR support
