Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner Specialist to join our team at Horizon North Logistics Inc. This role requires a strong understanding of human resources principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic HR support to management and employees, focusing on talent management, employee relations, and labor relations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal employment and labor legislation.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to support projects and complete objectives, including collective bargaining and union contract management.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to all levels of leadership on HR practices, including policy interpretation, talent management, and organizational design.
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives, communicating updates to management and employees.
  • Stay informed on legislative updates and HR best practices, ensuring compliance and up-to-date knowledge.
Requirements
  • Fluency in both English and French, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent knowledge of provincial and federal employment and labor legislation, with an emphasis on Quebec.
  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience working as an HR Generalist/Business Partner.
  • CHRP designation considered an asset.
  • Experience with ATS (Smart Recruiters) and ADP is strongly preferred.
