Role Summary:
We are in search of a proficient IT Program & Portfolio Manager who possesses extensive experience across diverse technologies and a proven history of successfully executing initiatives with multiple intricate workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of complex technology projects, ensuring precision, proactive oversight of dependencies and risks, and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, technical teams, executive leadership, and both clinical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship, oversee project delivery, and drive effective governance while promoting continuous improvement across portfolio projects.

Work Environment:

Portfolio and Project Management:
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of project statuses and documentation within the portfolio.
  • Work alongside Project Managers to identify necessary resources and maintain updated project information.
  • Oversee the execution of large-scale programs and projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring effective governance and ongoing enhancement.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and escalations at the portfolio level for all projects.

Technical Expertise and Guidance:
  • Leverage deep technical expertise in cloud technologies, data management, and healthcare systems to inform project decisions and navigate technical challenges.
  • Lead the development of processes, training, and the adoption of PMO practices and tools to improve project quality.
  • Provide coaching and training on PMO processes, mentoring Project Managers and facilitating training for new PMs.

Stakeholder Engagement and Performance Monitoring:
  • Collaborate with technical leaders, Project Managers, and external stakeholders to define timelines, funding procedures, deliverables, and staffing requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of the portfolio with organizational strategic initiatives and implement metrics and KPIs to monitor project performance.
  • Lead business transformations and transitions, ensuring smooth integration and minimal operational disruption.
  • Actively mentor team members and portfolio project managers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology Project Leadership, with at least 5 years in a PMO-like role.
  • Experience managing large-scale programs and projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Proven track record in business transformations and transitions.
  • Extensive experience in cloud migration projects, with proficiency in platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps) and methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum).

Technical Skills:
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
  • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • DevOps tools (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Enterprise systems (ERP, CRM).
  • Knowledge of data management, including architecture, warehousing, and ETL processes.
