DMC Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect who is prepared to lead and motivate. You will serve as the primary mentor and guide for our technical team and junior architects, leveraging your outstanding communication and leadership abilities to oversee projects from initial ideas through to construction and beyond.

Your confidence and expertise will enable you to engage effectively with clients and consultants, ensuring that project deadlines are met and milestones are achieved throughout the project lifecycle. Your capacity to make independent, project-focused decisions and manage your team will be crucial to your success.

You will collaborate closely with the Principal team, keeping them informed on all project developments, while ensuring your team is aware of objectives, milestones, and deliverables. You will act as the liaison between client requirements and project results, ensuring that every project not only meets but surpasses client expectations, all while maintaining a focus on profitability.

Position Overview

As a Senior Project Architect, your goal is to deliver exceptional architectural designs that stand out. Here’s what you will be responsible for:

  • Design Leadership: Oversee the design process from inception to completion, ensuring the highest quality in every project.
  • Project Management: Keep the project on schedule by managing scope, adhering to timelines, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Team Coordination: Develop project plans, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely delivery from your team.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage profitability, invoicing, and accounts receivable, providing critical insights during Project Health meetings.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold design and technical excellence by adhering to our QA process and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with the Marketing Lead and Principals to prepare proposals and presentations, actively participating in securing new projects.
  • Mentorship: Lead, train, and mentor junior staff, fostering an environment of growth and creativity.
  • Client Interaction: Ensure client satisfaction by providing practical, cost-effective solutions that maintain design integrity.
CHARACTERISTICS & SKILLS
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in architecture and eligibility for registration with AAA.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a talent for coaching and mentoring.
  • Exceptional communication skills to guide projects and teams effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of project management, including scope, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • A mature, creative approach to addressing architectural challenges.
  • A robust technical background, particularly in Revit, is highly advantageous.
  • A passion for innovative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent sketching, computer, and conceptual design skills.
  • Proven experience in leading architectural teams to success.
