We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator who is enthusiastic, adaptable to evolving circumstances and priorities, collaborates effectively with others, and showcases the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a cohesive team. The work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts with a 7 on 7 off rotation (day and night).

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and safety-conscious individual to make a significant contribution to the IOC team. Candidates will be considered for Heavy Equipment Operator roles within the Load & Haul sector of Mine Operations (Haul Truck Operators).

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor and working in a dynamic and distinctive environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will:

Operate safely by adhering to IOC safety protocols. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, taking prompt action to rectify unsafe conditions. Be accountable for the proper operation, upkeep, and management of equipment to ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently. Communicate any unresolved safety and process issues to the relevant supervisors. Provide insights to supervisors regarding equipment performance. Maintain a focus on continuous improvement by developing and implementing effective solutions to address identified issues in the work area. Question existing work methods to enhance efficiency.

What You Will Bring

A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and your colleagues; A valid Class 5 driver's license; other classes will be viewed favorably; preference will be given to candidates holding a Class 1 or 3 driver's license; A high school diploma or GED equivalent; or relevant post-secondary training (Heavy Equipment Operator Course) or sufficient years of demonstrated relevant experience; Previous experience with heavy machinery or in an industrial setting will be considered advantageous.
