Position Overview

We are in search of a Mobile Equipment Trainer to deliver training and evaluation for operators of mobile machinery and haul trucks, aligning with organizational objectives. This position is based in a community known for its family-friendly environment and natural surroundings.

As a member of a vibrant and forward-thinking team at Rio Tinto, you will work alongside industry professionals to enhance your expertise and contribute to the progress of the mining sector. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Creating training and evaluation resources
  • Facilitating training sessions
  • Collaborating with human resources and external partners for training initiatives
  • Improving existing training content for enhanced delivery
  • Assessing participants' knowledge and skills
  • Engaging in training projects aimed at continuous enhancement
  • Identifying educational needs and suggesting solutions
  • Assisting in the development of new training programs with subject-matter experts

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience operating equipment
  • Blue/Red Seal Certification as a heavy equipment operator
  • Class 5 and Class 3 driver's licenses with necessary endorsements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong dedication to safety practices
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities

  • Completion of a Train-the-Trainer program
