Job Title: Vice President of Business Applications and PMO

Avison Young is seeking a highly experienced Vice President to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of strategic business applications and project management office (PMO) initiatives across the company portfolio globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for business applications, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and long-term goals.
  • Oversee the PMO, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of business systems, identifying opportunities to streamline business processes and workflows through the effective use of technology, automation, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand their needs and priorities, ensuring that business systems effectively support their requirements.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Build and develop a team of PMO experts to deliver improved processes and tools, enhancing execution capabilities for regional execution teams and global functions.
  • Drive organizational change by promoting the adoption of new technologies and processes, providing training and support to users, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Establish KPIs and other relevant metrics to measure the effectiveness of business systems and track progress towards strategic goals, providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in business systems and management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • Professional certifications a plus (PMI, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a large globally-focused PMO with 5+ years of experience leading a PMO.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, influencing skills, and communication skills to enable collaboration with a variety of key stakeholders.
