Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join our team at our Burnaby head office. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll, tracking sales and calculating commission, and ensuring timely payroll, WCB, and related remittance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payroll and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Track sales and calculate commission for sales team members.
  • Ensure timely payroll, WCB, and related remittance.
  • Update monthly internal reports for cost control and financial analysis.
  • Maintain and update HR and accounting policies and filing system.
  • Manage asset inventory and monitor project budget and cost.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 2-year accounting diploma or equivalent. Payroll certificate preferred.
  • 1 year payroll and/or accounting experience.
  • Excellent data analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a must, with proficiency in English communication.
