Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and other statistical reports to support business decision-making.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Claims Processing: Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, organized, accurate, and proficient in manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
