About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Head of Hockey Operations at Hollyburn Country Club. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our ice sports programs, including minor hockey, men's hockey, women's hockey, and hockey programs for youth and adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Oversee the development and implementation of hockey programs that meet the needs and expectations of our members.
    • Supervise and manage a team of coaches and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Athletics to develop and implement strategies to grow our hockey programs and increase member participation.
  • Administrative and Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets for hockey programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
    • Monitor and analyze program data to inform decision-making and drive program growth.
    • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service to members, responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Develop and implement communication strategies to keep members informed about hockey programs and events.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote hockey programs and events through various channels.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Oversee the planning and execution of hockey events, including tournaments, games, and clinics.
    • Manage the scheduling of ice time and ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Collaborate with the Facilities team to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of ice surfaces and equipment.
  • Development and Growth
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow our hockey programs and increase member participation.
    • Collaborate with the Membership team to develop and implement programs to attract and retain members.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our hockey programs remain competitive and innovative.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hockey operations or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing hockey programs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
