We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Capital Project Delivery to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex healthcare projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the capital project delivery team, providing strategic direction and guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop and implement capital delivery plans, including advice and input for formal submissions to Senior Leadership, Board, and Ministry of Health approvals.
- Provide leadership for the application of knowledge and expertise into design and construction for projects, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Advise on planning and procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, strategies, and key initiatives.
- Lead relationship and conflict management on capital project delivery, including risk assessment, quality assurance, and management of escalated issues.
- Ensure contracts comply with legislative, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners to educate clients about the construction process and requirements, drafting appropriate documents, and maintaining sound internal and external relations with customers, senior Leadership, and government.
- In alignment with IH's Occupational Health & Safety Program, maintain a healthy and safe work environment through complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, responding to requests from WSBC, identifying hazards and communicating risks, ensuring compliance with employee training, conducting effective incident investigations, and implementing required corrective actions.
