Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Capital Projects to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex healthcare projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the capital project delivery team, providing strategic direction and guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.
Develop and implement capital delivery plans, including advice and input for formal submissions to Senior Leadership, Board, and Ministry of Health approvals.
Provide leadership for the application of knowledge and expertise into design and construction for projects, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and legal requirements.
Advise on planning and procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, strategies, and key initiatives.
Lead relationship and conflict management on capital project delivery, including risk assessment, quality assurance, and management of escalated issues.

Requirements

Proven experience in leading capital projects, with a strong track record of delivering successful outcomes.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong knowledge of healthcare capital projects, including design, construction, and procurement processes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
