Job Description: Deckhand - Maritime Operations

  • Must possess a valid passport to legally enter the United States.
  • Required to complete a limited Marine Emergency Duty Course (MED) for certification as deck crew on our vessels. The course is provided by the company.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively understand and communicate both written and verbal information with guests and fellow crew members.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Reliable transportation to and from your assigned work location is essential.
  • Possess an energetic and enthusiastic personality.
  • When required, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including non-slip shoes, gloves, weather-appropriate attire, and sun protection.
  • Be prepared to walk, stand, sit, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing without sitting breaks.
  • Physically capable of reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, pulling, moving, or lifting up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms).
  • Skill in throwing mooring lines from the ship to the pier.
  • Availability to work on all major holidays and weekends is required.
