About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Programmer to join our team at BOS Innovations. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for developing functional PLC and HMI programs, pioneering IO interfacing, and ensuring our systems meet CSA Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PLC and HMI programs for industrial automation systems
  • Design and implement IO interfacing solutions for automation systems
  • Ensure compliance with CSA Standards for industrial automation systems
  • Mentor emerging programmers in automation integration and programming
  • Work with the latest tools and technologies to develop innovative automation solutions

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automation Programmer with a strong background in PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial automation. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and/or sufficient industry experience and training.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation
  • Strong experience in independently programming machines from the ground up on new builds
  • Knowledge of custom machine building and processes, including robotics, vision, laser, assembly, welding, etc.
  • Structured text programming experience, such as Python, C, C#, etc.
  • Ability to work openly in a team environment and communicate ideas and problems clearly to project teams
