Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Manufacturing Systems Manager, the Automation Technician (Electrician) plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment. This includes the installation, repair, and maintenance of all machinery and equipment, as well as tooling modifications and the upkeep of the physical and electrical infrastructure at our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical and preventive maintenance tasks, complete electrical work orders, and undertake additional electrical responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance shop floor control systems, including the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Adapt to new processes and stay informed about emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to accomplish assigned objectives and engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of new programs, contribute to the selection of new equipment, and ensure the maintenance and upgrading of existing machinery.
  • Execute tooling changes and conduct trials for tooling enhancements.
  • Participate in various projects and additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with manufacturing maintenance operations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with Fanuc robots is advantageous.
  • Willingness to mentor an apprentice.
