Radiopharmaceutical Production Specialist

Your Role:
This position entails overseeing the technical and administrative processes related to the preparation, formulation, dispensing, quality assurance, and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals produced at the facility. The role also emphasizes maintaining a clean laboratory environment, ensuring radiation safety and workplace health standards, and supporting the packaging and transport of radiopharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Radiopharmacy Specialist, your duties will include:
- Preparing and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals using both commercial kits and raw materials.
- Assisting in the operation and upkeep of scientific equipment and instruments.
- Implementing radiation safety protocols and workplace health measures.
- Developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitoring supply inventory and managing radiopharmaceutical kit production.
- Facilitating the packaging and transportation of radiopharmaceuticals.

- Hours per Shift: 7.75
- Shift Schedule: Days, Nights

- Salary Range: $35.50 - $46.82
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:
- A completed accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Chemical Technology, or a health sciences degree from a recognized institution.
- A valid driver's license.
- The ability to handle and transport moderately heavy (up to 22 kg) lead and radioactive shielding containers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, pharmacy, or physical sciences, or a relevant technical diploma.
- Prior experience (2-5 years) in radiopharmacy or related fields.
- Training in Radiation Safety and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (provided in-house if necessary).
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices.
