Architectural Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the production process, working closely with team members to deliver high-quality projects.
About the RoleAs an Architectural Technologist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and preparing complete working drawing packages and construction documents for pricing and building permit submission.
- Interpreting and implementing Zoning By-laws and other applicable regulations.
- Validating designs and deliverables to ensure they meet company and client standards, BC Code requirements, and other applicable regulations.
- Providing input to proposals and designs, using problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges.
- Producing rendered visualization material, including plans and elevations, when required.
- Working collaboratively with team members, clients, and consultants.
- Attending project team meetings.
- Visiting job sites to gather essential data for the design and implementation of projects when required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Architectural Technology Diploma/Certification.
- 4.5+ years' experience as an Architectural Technologist in an Architecture or design firm, with at least 3 years of experience coming from within Canada or North America.
- Strong experience working with Revit is essential. Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office, and Adobe Suite is an asset.
- Experience working with commercial, industrial, public, and mixed-use projects is preferable.
- High attention to detail, accurate, and precise work.
- Contract administration experience is an asset.
- Team worker, as well as independently sufficient.
- Knowledge of Alberta local by-laws and building codes.
- Good knowledge of construction principles.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with clients and project teams.
