About the Role

Riddell Kurczaba is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team in our Edmonton office. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting our team in delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate project requirements, working closely with senior staff and consultants.
  • Provide AutoCAD support and expertise in all areas of projects, including detailing and design development.
  • Perform detailing and design development with minimal assistance from Project Managers or Architects.
  • Review shop drawings and provide support to the Architectural Technologist Coordinator.
  • Attend meetings on site or with clients as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Support the implementation of projects and execute tasks as directed.
  • Coordinate and mentor junior staff, delegating work as needed.
  • Utilize industry-standard software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Reader/Writer.
  • Ensure competency with the Alberta Building Code and City of Edmonton requirements for DP and BP submissions.
  • Manage drawing files and drawing lists, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Deliver high-quality drawings that are aesthetically pleasing and usable.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Hold a diploma or degree from a 2+ year technology program.
  • Bring 5-10 years of experience working as a Job Captain or intermediate-level technical support on various projects in Canada.
  • Excel in AutoCAD skills, with Revit experience being an asset.
