Job Purpose

SECURE is seeking an experienced Field HSE Advisor to support the Fort McMurray, Alberta region. Reporting to the Manager, HSE, this position provides guidance and direction to all site workers, including project management, employees, and subcontractors, with respect to corporate and client safety policies, practices, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct worksite inspections and audits, and follow through with coaching and support for corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions, and develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, weekly safety meetings, and client and HSE team meetings.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current OH&S legislation, Federal and Provincial laws, and company standards and policies.
  • Provide mentoring to workers and leaders in maintaining safe work habits and practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Field HSE Advisor role.
  • Knowledge of related Occupational Health & Safety legislation, as well as Environmental and Transportation regulations.
  • Valid Class 5 license with a drivers abstract that is acceptable under the SECURE Driver Evaluation program.
  • Effective Microsoft Office 365 application user.
