Kitchen Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Pure Kitchen Kanata. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and leading a team of food service staff.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain efficient kitchen operations, including food preparation, portion control, and inventory management.
- Supervise and train food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
- Coordinate with other departments, including front-of-house staff, to ensure seamless service and efficient operations.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
- Develop and implement menu planning and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and specials, and to maintain a high level of culinary excellence.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are well-maintained and in good working order.
- Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the kitchen and the overall success of the restaurant.
- 2+ years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Proven track record of success in leading a team and achieving high standards of quality and service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and customers.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and to stand for long periods of time.
