Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dual Mobile Laboratory Technician to join our team in Kenora, Ontario. As a Dual Mobile Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing patient care and laboratory services in a variety of settings, including private homes, commercial facilities, retirement homes, and long-term care facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process patient specimens for laboratory testing, including phlebotomy, ECG tracings, and special test collections.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and service, including greeting and requesting required information from patients, explaining the specimen collection process, and ensuring patients have followed necessary test protocol prior to specimen collection.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, microscopes, and other specialized equipment.
  • Prepare and transport patient specimens to designated laboratories for testing.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient specimens, test results, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other laboratory staff, to ensure seamless patient care and laboratory services.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a vehicle.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check.
