Nurturing Child Care Specialist

As a Child Care Provider at AmSe - Private Household, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and development of children in a nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at creating a safe and engaging atmosphere for children.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary education is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Work will primarily take place in the employer's residence.
- Engagement with children will occur in a home setting.
- Take full responsibility for the household during the absence of parents.
- Carry out light cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
- Manage laundry duties including washing, ironing, and pressing clothes.
- Provide care for infants and children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Implement discipline strategies as directed by parents.
- Guide children in personal hygiene and social skills development.
- Ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
- Organize recreational activities such as games and outings.
- Prepare and serve healthy meals.
- Assist children in preparing for rest periods.
- Supervise and attend to children's needs.
- Support the emotional well-being of children.
- Prepare meals as needed.
- Ability to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- Personal Attributes: Strong client focus, effective communication skills, flexibility, initiative, sound judgment, organizational skills, reliability, teamwork, time management, patience, and honesty.
- Availability for the specified start date.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Proximity to the job location.
- Previous experience in child care.
- Highest level of education completed.
- Encouragement of applications from newcomers and refugees affected by conflict or disaster.
- Assistance with recognition of foreign credentials.
- Provision of mentorship and networking opportunities for young individuals.
Work Term: Permanent
Work Language: English or French
Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
